Sunmudo is a way to reach spiritual enlightenment through the harmonization of body, mind, and breath.

Original Buddhism is based on the practice of the Fourfold Foundations of Mindfulness (四念處) - mindfulness of the body, mindfulness of feelings, mindfulness of mind, and mindfulness of dhamma (mental phenomena or mental objects). 


This means that, at all times in our daily life, we are never to cease observing the essence and harmonization of thoughts and actions and, through them, seek for samadhi (ultimate self-concentration). 


Therefore, any actions we perform such as Haeng (行, walking), Ju (住, standing), Jwa (坐, sitting), Wa (臥, lying), Eo (語, speaking), Muk (默, being silent), Dong (動, moving), and Jeong (靜, being still) should be taken while remaining samadhi (禪定).
